My wife, Christine an award-winning children’s author of over 50 titles, grew up in Whittier and attended Cal State LA and Cal State Fullerton, where she earned a BA in Theater Arts. I grew up in Orange County with my younger sister, where I attended various private schools, and then studied physics, linguistics, and theater arts at CSUF and also had the good fortune of meeting my wife there. We have lived in Long Beach, Seattle, and Cedar Rapids before returning to Whittier 10 years ago. I am a private pilot, voice artist, photographer, musician, and publisher, but have earned my living traveling the world as a computer systems architect working for public entities large and small including governments, universities, and military, as well as private organizations such as Amazon, Microsoft, Google, eBay, NASDAQ, and The Gates Foundation, among many others. I speak six languages at various levels of proficiency, play the piano, guitar, and clarinet. We have a daughter, 8, and two sons, 10 & 12, entering 3rd, 5th, and 7th grades this year, where I am the president of the PTSA. My wife’s siblings are also quite accomplished. Her two sisters are a teacher and a writer, while her brother is the California Speaker of the Assembly.
